Cuban on Blogs and Newspapers

March 18th, 2008 | by Brad King |

I first met Mark Cuban in 2001 during the first Future of Music Policy Summit in Washington, DC. He happened to be on a panel I was moderating, and I found his interplay with then CEO of Liquid Audio humorous. Cuban’s always been a free-thinking kind of guy, at least during my interactions with him.

In fact, earlier this year I was floating some interface ideas past him. His response, while short, was on par: if all you are doing is giving people a new way to find something, you haven’t innovated anything.

I’m not entirely sold on that idea, but enough so that we scrapped what we were doing for a more ambitious project.

Well, he’s at it again, discussing the relationship between blogs and newspapers, which he’s been getting hammered on in the blogosphere.
