Blogger Takes on Homicides in Los Angeles County

“You have to write about this,” she said, when she heard about my book idea.
So, I’m writing about it. It’s maybe the best use of a blog by the mainstream press that I’ve seen in some time. Essentially, the writers track all the homicides in Los Angeles County, the deaths that never get reported in the newspaper and oftentimes go unnoticed by the community at large.
In other words, the blog supplements what the paper does — or in this case, what the paper can’t do.
